Ernestine "Noonah" Jackson Jones,
A native and resident of St. James. She died at 3:15 P.M., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, La. She was 98.
Visiting at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in St. James, Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9:30 A.M. until religious service at 11:00 A.M.conducted by Rev. Samuel Jones. Interment in church cemetery. Friends can visit the funeral home from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Friday, October 12, 2012.
Survived by Nine Daughters and their Spouses: Emily and Elliot Stewart, Irma and Rodney Taylor, Clara Mae and Rev.Herbert Harris, Alexis and Atwood Graves, Virginia Richardson, Betta Jacques, Barbara and Clarence Stewart, Betsy and Edwin Octave and Lenora and Calvin Watis. Four Sons and their Spouses: Rev. Samuel Jones, Andre and Shalonda Jones, Alex White, Clarence and Shelia Priestly. A sister, Martha Gardner. Two Sister in Laws, Mary Smith and Frances Jackson. Son in Law, Wilfred Cooper, 37 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren, Neices, Nephews, Cousins, other Relatives and Friends.
Preceded in death by her Parents, Jules Jackson and Christina Josph Jackson. A Daughter, Dora Cooper. Four Sisters: Clara Jackson, Vidella Julien, Henrietta Whittington and Isabella Taylor. Two Brothers, Abraham and Joseph Jackson. Two Daughters in Law, Hattie Jones and Margaret White.
